Race to the Finish

Head-to-Head Ninja is one of the most exciting formats in obstacle course racing, where two athletes race side-by-side to the buzzer. Speed, precision, and endurance all come into play as competitors battle it out on the same course at the same time.

Unlike traditional ninja competitions, Head-to-Head events run in a double-elimination bracket format, meaning athletes get multiple chances to compete and fight their way through the bracket toward the final round.

Each race delivers high-energy action for both athletes and spectators as competitors push their limits to outpace their opponents and reach the finish first.

Please ensure that the WNL Waiver is completed before the athlete competes.

All athletes must have a valid waiver on file, which only needs to be signed once per year.

Challenge Course Format

Athletes can retry obstacles, but the clock continues to run while obstacles are reset, making speed and efficiency essential to reaching the buzzer first.

Qualifier

The top 32 athletes in each division will qualify for the Regional Finals at Fitset Calgary on April 25th. From the regional finals, athletes have the opportunity to qualify for the Head to Head Championship.

What Makes Head-to-Head Different?

Head-to-Head competitions bring a true race atmosphere to ninja sport. Much like traditional sports tournaments, athletes compete through brackets, racing repeatedly against opponents throughout the event.

With minimal rest, fast-paced matches, and direct competition, this format rewards not only technical skill but also conditioning, endurance, and mental focus.

Age division is determined by the athlete’s age as of January 1, 2026

Competition Registration

The WNL Head to Head competition takes place at Fitset Ninja Calgary located at 3691 19 St NE, Calgary on March 29th, 2026, from 9am.

Registration cost - $79 CAD + GST

Please register each athlete separately.

Athletes will run a randomized run order, with all age groups running at any time.

  • Spectators are welcome to join us in person throughout the competition! Please respect the marked boundaries and listen to the Fitset Ninja staff and volunteers at all times to ensure you're not interfering with other athletes during their run!

  • Yes! For first time visitors to Fitset Ninja, we encourage you to fill out the waiver ahead of time.

  • We are not able to offer refunds for any cancellations.

    We can offer “credit on file” for your purchase until Mar 25, 2026, but no refund. Past this date, no “credit on file” will be offered. For cancellations and to use your credit, please email us at hello@fitsetninja.com. We can not take these requests verbally.
